Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need sign off from a doctor to attend classes?
If you have a medical condition or are taking medication that affects your performance, please get sign off from your medical practiioner before signing up to classes. E.g. if you have a heart condition and have not been given the go-ahead to exercise.
Women who have had a C-section also need to be given the greenlight by their doctor.
How long after giving birth can I attend classes?
Please don't allow social media to pressure you into "gettingYyour body back" straight after giving birth. Your body has been through an increadible miracle! It has changed so much in 9 months, growing another human being. We cannot reasonably expect it to suddenly go back to "normal". You are welcome to come to class from 6 weeks after having a natural (vaginal) birth, and around 12 weeks after having a -section. For the latter, please get the greenlight from your doctor or midwife first.
Do I need prior experience to join a class?
You don't need prior experience. If you are fit and active, you can join a mixed ability class. Otherwise, you can join a beginners class or book 1-2-1 sessions.
How often do I need to do classes before I see results?
This depends on your goals and where you are now. You will of course see the results faster, the more classes you take, but you will generally feel better for having done just a few classes.
Can I do a taster session?
We don't offer taster sessions, but you can purchase a one-off class pass. You'd need to contact Charlene to arrange when this can be used (they can be used on a class where there is a space).
