Reformer Pilates is a form of Pilates that uses a specialised machine called...wait for it...a reformer! These have a sliding carriage, resistance springs, and various other attachments, and were developed by Joseph Pilates as a way to provide resistance and support for different exercises. Reformers add lots of spice to any Pilates exercise - on the Nandos Peri-ometer (a scientific measure of spice levels) a class can be anything from extra mild to VUSA! The fantastic thing about it is that it is tailored to you and your needs - so you choose the spice!
We're now at St. Martin's Walk, Dorking!
The Benefits of Pilates
— Build Strength & Endurance
Reformer Pilates engages and targets multiple muscle groups, leading to enhanced muscle tone and overall strength. It helps to tone and sculpt muscles without adding bulk.
— Improve Balance
Many Reformer exercises challenge balance and coordination. The instability created by the moving carriage and the spring resistance helps improve these aspects.
— Improve Posture & Tone
With a strong emphasis on body alignment and awareness, exercises on the reformer encourage a well aligned posture by strengthening the muscles that support the spine.
— Increase Flexibility & Mobility
The Reformer allows for a wide range of motion and exercises that promote flexibility. The controlled and fluid movements help to "lengthen" and stretch muscles, improving flexibility.

Our studio is fully equipped with all the quipment you'll need for an an amazing workout, but we do ask you to buy a personal reformer mat. These can be purchased in the studio for £25, with all proceeds from the sale going to the Tyler Abdul Foundation - TyFo - to prevent young suicides. You'll also need to work out in sticky socks.
